MIPRO-FA

MIPRO-FA

MIPRO-FA is a two-part chemical-setting Furan-based mortar, specially designed for bonding acid-resistant bricks and tiles. Known for its impermeability, MIPRO-FA offers exceptional resistance to a wide range of harsh chemicals, including strong acids, alkalis, oils, solvents, and can withstand temperatures up to 170°C. For applications requiring superior resistance to hydrofluoric acid, fluoride salts, and hot alkalis, MIPRO-FA “C” is a 100% carbon-filled variant of this mortar.

Before applying MIPRO-FA, ensure that the bricks or tiles are clean, dry, and stored at ambient temperature. Apply the mixed mortar by buttering it evenly on the back and sides of the bricks or tiles, ensuring uniform coverage, with slightly more in the center to avoid air pockets during installation. If using MIPRO-FA as a jointing mortar, make sure that the joints are completely filled to their full depth with the mortar. During and after the application, it is important to keep the area dry and free from any materials or traffic that could interfere with the setting and curing of MIPRO-FA.

MIPRO-FA is highly resistant to a wide range of acids, alkalis, solvents, salts, oils, and fats, making it suitable for demanding chemical environments. However, it is not recommended for use with Hydrofluoric acid, fluoride salts, or strong hot alkalis. For these conditions, MIPRO-FA “C,” the 100% carbon-filled variant, should be used. Additionally, it is not suitable for use with strong oxidizing acids such as chromic acid, nitric acid, or other oxidizing agents.

Storage & Shelf Life

For optimal performance, store the solution and powder in a cool, dry place, away from direct sunlight and moisture. Keep them sealed in containers or bags to prevent contamination. Under proper storage conditions:

  • Solution: Shelf life is up to 1 year.
  • Powder: Shelf life is 3-4 months.

When handling MIPRO-FA and other MIPRO brand products, it is recommended to wear proper protective gear to avoid direct contact with the skin and eyes. In case of contact, immediately rinse with plenty of water and consult a doctor if necessary.
