Application
MIPRO-K mortar is applied using the traditional bricklaying method, where the mortar is buttered onto acid-resistant bricks or tiles. It is essential to ensure that the bricks or tiles are clean, dry, and at ambient temperature before application.
Once the joints have hardened, they should be treated with a 10% Hydrochloric acid solution before putting the acid-resistant lining into service. To ensure optimal curing and performance, the lined area must remain dry and free from any materials or traffic during and after the application process.
MIPRO-K, once fully set and hardened, demonstrates exceptional resistance to high concentrations of oxidizing acids, such as 98% sulfuric acid, concentrated nitric acid, and chromic acid. It is also effective against inorganic acids, salts, and most organic solvents at elevated temperatures. However, it is not recommended for use with hydrofluoric acid, fluoride salts, water, diluted solutions, or alkalis.
