MIPRO-P is a two-part, chemically setting Phenolic base mortar designed for bonding acid-resistant bricks and tiles, offering reliable protection against corrosive environments. It is particularly effective in safeguarding structures from acidic conditions, especially against sulfuric acid up to 70%. This mortar is ideal for use in industries where protection from aggressive chemical environments is essential.
MIPRO-P mortar should be applied to clean, dry bricks or tiles that are stored at ambient temperature. When applying, spread the mortar evenly, ensuring a slightly thicker layer at the center to avoid air pockets during installation. If the application is for joint filling only, ensure that the mortar completely fills the full depth of the joint. Once the bricks or tiles are installed, keep the area dry and free from debris or materials that could interfere with the setting and curing process of MIPRO-P.
MIPRO-P provides excellent protection against a variety of strong mineral acids, particularly sulfuric acid up to a concentration of 70%. It is also resistant to oxidizing acids, organic and fatty acids, oils, fats, and numerous solvents. For conditions involving Hydrofluoric acid (HF) or fluoride salts, MIPRO-P “C,” a 100% carbon-filled version, is recommended for enhanced protection.
